A skateboard for urban mobility

The YAMBA 120 is a large plastic cruiser, ideal for getting around town. Easy to handle, many people adopt it for their daily commute.

Skateboard isn't just about doing tricks it can also be a very effective means of transportation, especially in a logic of complementarity of means of transportation. The advantage of a cruiser over a bike or scooter is that it is much smaller and therefore more practical to carry. It is much easier to jump on a bus or an underground train with a cruiser than with your bike or scooter. Its small size and light weight make it easy to carry under your arm or attach to your bag.

A fun, practical and environmentally friendly way to commute

The cruiser also makes it easier to get around and you almost never have to come to a complete stop. You can quickly alternate between walking and cruising if you need to, ride on the pavements, get off on the cycle path, cross easily or pass with a smile on your face between two stopped cars. There are no one-way streets, no detours, your route is simplified. There is a real sense of freedom when you ride a cruiser. Not only is it fun, but skateboarding can even reduce your carbon footprint.

Eco-design actions

The deck of this cruiser use less raw materials than the previous version. Indeed, we are now using 83,3% of recycled material in the deck in order to preserve natural ressources. We needed to keep a small amount of new polypropylene with fiberglass to ensure the mechanical property of the board. Nevertheless, once assembled, 41,65% of this cruiser is made out of recycled material. Have a look at the video below for a presentation of the process.
