This pre-gripped deck was developed by our team. It is aimed at skateboarders looking for a visually sober and technically impeccable deck.
With the DK100 model, we wanted to offer the simplest board possible to make it ultra accessible to those on a budget or the ones who break a lot of boards.
It is a good old popsicle shape with medium concave available in 4 sizes:
We are able to offer this board at a reasonable price by making useful choices in conception. We made absolutely no compromise on functionality, we saved money on the things that won't help you to skate better.
It is made of 7 plys of Canadian Hard Rock Maple which is the best variety of wood to develop technical boards. This construction offers a great long lasting pop. Our maple decks are cold pressed, one by one. This means that each mould contains only one board per pressing pass. This ensures that the pressure is optimally distributed and that each board of the same model has exactly the same shape and the same concave. An advantage for those who want to skate the same shape every time.
We removed everything that could be removed without altering the board's usability.
No more graphics, no coloured folds among the 7 maple folds of the board. On the previous version of the DECK 100 we had to put an entire film for the heat transfer just to concentrate the info on the side of the board. The technical information is now concentrated on a simple sticker reducing the amount of plastic and energy used in the process of making this board.
It is really unusual to see boards pre-gripped. Some people tend to enjoy applying their griptapes themselves and get creative while some other are bored of gripping their boards.

Let us explain why we decided to sell this board pre-gripped. As we said earlier, the idea with this deck is to offer the simplest board possible to make it ultra accessible to those on a budget or the ones who break a lot of boards.
2020 has been pretty hectic because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This crisis had a big impact in production, manufacturing, access to raw material and shipping in many industries including skateboarding. Manufacturing was first interrupted and then hindered reducing the production capacity while prices of raw material and shiping went through the roof. Pre-gripping this board not only allows us to maintain our prices, but also to save on CO2 emissions by eliminating the need to transport grips in useless individual plastic packagings.
Producing a skateboard is polluting. We took various actions to reduce the environemental impact of this board.
The wood we use is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. This certification ensures that the forest is managed in a way that preserves biologial diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
Also, we are using a high-performance water-based glue that is much less polluting than epoxy resins.
Selling the board pre-gripped also help to reduce the overall environmental impact (no more individual plastic packaging and less shipping volume). It reduces the shipping volume and price and there is no more individual plastic packaging on the grip.
